I'm going to the beach in a bikini for the first time in my lifeeeeeee !!!!!!!!!!!! 🌊👙🩴🐚🌞😎
Not to add to the skinny + economic crisis of our society, but I've put in so much work over the last year and I'm thrilled with how strong/capable/happy/even more hot I've become. 💖
@aliciaandrz I'm down nearly 60lbs over the last year and I strongly encourage shopping at Goodwill or thrift stores because they're inexpensive. If you're going to continue the journey - your body changes so quickly, it's not worth it to spend more than $4.99 on anything 😂
It's wild - I'm the functional family. He's cutting down dead trees with my brother and adopted uncle, while I garden and plant before we go over to my parents for a Memorial Day cookout. He's not used to this, but he's so happy, and I'm so happy. 🥰
I wanna marry into a functional family not just me & him in our own little world. I’m talking cookouts, game nights, holiday dinners, birthdays that actually mean something. I wanna go get breakfast with my mother-in-law, go shopping with his siblings, feel included fr. I don’t want it to just be “us” all the time, I want a family that’s really family oriented.
for all you know, this could be your last summer.
as homer wrote, you will never be lovelier than you are right now. so tell her she has a pretty smile. get lean or become a unit. find wonder in boarding the airplane. drink more coffee than you need. walk on the beach until your feet hurt. write your girlfriend a note on a tuesday. waste money because its not all about retirement. pull over at the lookout. ask the uber driver about his life. tell the woman in the elevator you like her shoes and mean it. call your mother. ask the waiter his favorite thing on the menu and order that.
theres so much life in the slow moments, and you sprint past it chasing the next thing. but at any time, in any situation, you can find the good. smile. be happy. recognize it for a one of one life experience. what good is walking around a curmudgeon when tomorrow could be curtains.
for heavens sake, flirt with the world.
One thing nobody tells you about adulthood is how fun it is to become your own person. One day you randomly start liking jazz, olive green, expensive dark chocolate, documentaries about volcanoes, weird lamps, sparkling water, books about loneliness in Tokyo, silver jewelry and quiet cafés. Your personality keeps unfolding forever if you let it.
And somehow, it’s already almost June.
This is your reminder that you deserve more than just surviving your life. Be present in it. Don’t postpone joy. Choose yourself, over and over again.
Do not let the illusion of urgency in this world deceive you. Slowness is sacred, and honoring your own pace is medicine. There is no rush to arrive. Take your time and allow life to meet you wherever you are.
@offbeatorbit A mixed greens/arugula salad with goat cheese, blueberries, grilled chicken, and avocado + a vodka soda for dinner literally helped me lose 50lbs last year. Salad and a drink is a top tier meal!!!
