@logicfollows1@ShaneClaiborne So you think that little kids being ripped to shreds by assault rifles isn’t something to get emotional about? That’s how psychopaths think.
@bradrathbone @BruhOriginalMe @ZachWLambert@ReformedRant Apparently the people in my country are ok with kids getting ripped to shreds by assault rifles. I have two school aged kids and I am terrified for them.
@BruhOriginalMe @ZachWLambert@ReformedRant Look up what happened in the UK after ONE mass shooting. They got rid of guns. No more mass shootings. That is the story of every developed country in the world except the US- rest of the world looks at us with disdain and pity that we value gun ownership over human lives.
@BroHealth2 @EmilyVanDuyne @clhubes@FoodieScience It is a brand new thing for parents to be expected to entertain their children. Most of human history? We were too busy just surviving and trying to make sure they survived.
@lesaboteur87 If you’re looking forward to pretend play with your kid, that’s great! More power to you, and I’m sure he’ll love it. Parenthood is always about balance. There will be other things that may make you want onto pull your hair out. We all have to find what works best for us.
@lesaboteur87 And I spend waaay more time doing fun things with my kids than my parents ever did with me. I was one of five; I only have two, so they get a lot more attention. My mom was too busy.
@lesaboteur87 My brain doesn’t work that way any longer. I don’t know why- I was always pretending as a kid. In my late teens that just kind of stopped. I’ll spend quality time with them in lots of other ways, just not pretend. My son isn’t even interested in pretend, he’d rather build things.
@EmilyVanDuyne @clhubes I will do arts and crafts with my kids. I’ll play board games. I’ll take them for bike rides. I’ll take them to the park. Sometimes I’ll chase them and tickle them. If my daughter needs help dressing her dolls, I’ll help. I WILL NOT play pretend.
@BeccaLindenbach@jonathankamyuka Thanks Rebecca. Even though I can’t be a Christian anymore, I still follow you and your mom and I know you’re two of the good ones. 💗
