@HelenMyers @Bzenattitude Might it be that immediately agreeing with one's wife saves time? Even if the husband were to put forward a view of his own, his wife's decision will be the one that prevails, so saying "Oui chérie" bows to the inevitable and therefore represents a "gain de temps."
