Rounding out our introductions of the @IRIglobal Taskforce members is the leader who coordinates everything - Meryl Miner the Senior Program Manager for Youth and Inclusion!

Meryl is the mastermind behind the Generation Democracy Global Summit. As the Senior Program Manager for Youth and Inclusion, she oversees both the Advisory Board taskforce and the entire IRI team for the summit, ensuring smooth program execution.

Meryl's passion lies in empowering young civic and political leaders. She plays a key role in shaping the Institute's approach to inclusive programming. Her expertise extends to engaging young people on critical topics like digital storytelling, design thinking, transformational leadership, and fostering organizational growth.

Meryl joined IRI in 2015, initially supporting their civil society capacity-building programs in China. Over the years, she has built a strong foundation working across Asia, including Burma and on the @yseali Most recently, she steered IRI's civil society and governance programs in Laos, consistently providing valuable technical expertise on best practices for engaging with civil society on their path to self-reliance.

Meryl's academic background is equally impressive. She holds a Master of Arts in Asian Studies from @Georgetown School of Foreign Service (SFS) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from @ProvidenceCol
