Hey you: you are far too willing to entertain changes to #bitcoin’s code.

The biggest threat to #bitcoin by far - and IMO the only existential one - is a code change that contains a critical vulnerability or ignites some deleterious uninintended consequence, either due to malice or human error.

If Taproot/Ordinals taught you one thing, it should have been that unintended consequences of changes to complex systems are more likely than you think. Usually more likely than the intended ones.

You should approach every single proposed change as though the person proposing it was a CIA spook.

Because if someone really wanted to hurt #bitcoin, they wouldn’t come at it with an Executive Order or a ban, but with a BIP.

It is much easier to take down a citadel from the inside than the outside.
