@AndyGoode10 Was it reckless yes, was the player in control of his actions no.
Law 9 :11 clearly states “Players must not do anything that is reckless or dangerous to others including leading with the elbow or forearm, or jumping into, or over, a tackler.”
@AndyGoode10 Player safety into account. By turning his body position sideways and leading with his hip makes that even more clear. It was reckless and not safe. Concussion like that can be career ending. Take Pat Lambie as an example of exactly such a challenge.
@ThalaMsutu77 It’s a damded if you do damded if you don’t, there is no perfect way I guess it does come down to your players and what they are comfortable with and what their skill set is. Example Fourie du Preez you can let box from anywhere and then a frans steyn cannon you give him the ball
@ThalaMsutu77 You will be surprised how little distance 10’s or first receiver kickers get in their own 22m with the pressure put on them. Then there is the added risk factor if it’s not kicked out with chase lines. Boxing just takes away a lot of the unknowns and is a higher % option actually
Proud of my old mate @wherebenmercer2 he is finally become the official voice of the pigeons 🐦 Bouthier was at least in third gear ⚙️ #WhereIsMy10%Please
