@Karnythia Also, tech employees are not known to be big labor advocates. Within tech (and associated well paying STEM jobs) there is a pervasive myth that you succeed and fail purely on your own merits.

It’s a real “I got mine” attitude.

Likewise, debt isn’t made crippling by its massive size, but by systems of poverty. The majority of loans in default are smaller than $5k, because they couldn’t afford to finish their degree

@KassyDillon @Lefty_Jew I graduated with $70k in debt and do you want to know how I paid off most of it? Via a settlement from an accident. I have quite literally broken my back to pay for college and still have $14k left.

I will be ecstatic if no one else has to deal with that shit hand.
