I genuinely need further texts from candidates whose campaigns I've already texted to STOP to become a capital crime, and I am confident I don't even need to explain this any further
Los Angeles: many of our loudest advocates for "transit" are bloody assholes who hate drivers far more than they hate cars.
Most drivers in L.A. can't stop driving until this city is fundamentally transformed, and these ppl blame individuals. (Pretty neoliberal behavior tbh)
During his coverage in the occupied West Bank, Swedish journalist Love Lyssarides was stopped at an Israeli checkpoint, where an Israeli soldier with a distinctly British accent openly justified the occupation of the land by saying “God gave it to us” and said that Palestinians should go back to Arab countries.
🚨Israel's security minister is bragging about throwing emaciated Palestinian hostages in solitary confinement for using the little food he gave them to make an "improvised cake" from 3 slices of toast bread, 2 spoonfuls of jam & few beans
Imagine if those were Israeli hostages!
The State of Palestine should invoke collective self-defence. Nobody will accept the call, of course, but that’s a different question. It should make it perfectly clear that it is legal to forcefully protect Palestinians from ethnic cleansing and genocide
1) Targeting occupation soldiers on occupied land is not terrorism by any definition
2) In response, Israel is destroying homes of completely unrelated people, a war crime according to international law
I think Dems will probably win the midterms (a second-term president’s party rarely ever wins the midterms) But if they lose or even if it’s close, we should ask whether it was a great strategy for Dem leaders to close the campaign promising no Dem leadership changes, promising no M4A, and promising not to pass legislation that Trump might veto.
Party leaders closing the campaign with a “nothing will fundamentally change” message seems suboptimal — and discordant with challenger candidates in tough races promising that things will change.
@charizardavis I'm very worried about what Dems won't even try to do with another 2008 majority. I fear new iterations of exactly what they didn't do in 2009-2010. I'm sure part of this is just due to having paid wayyyyy too much fucking attention to Senate Dems back then, but...
A young blonde woman with an American accent in Israel says that all the Arabs must be kicked out of Gaza because it is "our land" since "God commanded us to take it."
The Palestinians should be kicked out to any other Arab state, she continues, except Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria, "because they are ours."
"Or we will kill them," she adds
Can we stop pretending that this is a marginal view in Israel? That these are the comments of a fringe minority?
They are not. Israel has been on this path for quite some time.
Western governments know it fully - yet they continue to fund and enable Israel's genocidal policies.

I can't get over this photo. It's the kind of thing that would launch a thousand schizo tracts in the 1990s and vindicate countless more in the years following. You'd see it on posters declaring Trump the Antichrist. Maybe the defining image of Trump II?
I would argue that Israeli soldiers are a legitimate target for the occupied Palestinian people, anywhere and at any time.
Some would disagree.
But Israeli soldiers on duty in the West Bank are a legitimate target beyond any legal doubt.
Don't believe old media.
@theseaofmooses@trash_panda97 She’s running to beat Karen Bass among the mostly genuinely-progressive, but not left-politically-organized, population of Los Angeles.
I am sure you understand how incoherent most “normal” people’s politics are, yes?
I think Obama’s incrementalism & establishment deference turned promises of hope and change into more of the same and created conditions for Trump’s ascent. But I’m genuinely glad he’s now helping candidates who embody a more populist politics & ideology than his own. It’s good.
“Yeah I did it again, bitches. Fuck you, I like these dinners.”
@billmaher lashes out, defends himself for having dinner with Trump again. He says Trump had good etiquette, never lost his temper or yelled… How nice!
Imagine being this far up your own ass.
