Councillors in Adur and Worthing have made a formal complaint to Southern Water for refusing to answer questions in public about its failings.

Sunak looking/sounding pretty desperate. Also, if this is the really major change he says 1. Why no statement to Parliament, instead a press conference with clappers at the back? 2. Why no election? Just get on with it and let the country put itself out of this misery
Dear 🇬🇧,
Here’s your weekly reminder that 10 years ago, your NHS was ranked the #1 healthcare system on Earth. You don’t need a new system. You need a new govt that won’t destroy your public NHS to feed a private system. Your family isn’t safe in #ToryBritain.
#SOSNHS
What I bang on about regularly to friends and colleagues moaning about being sluggish, a bit low or a bit overweight. Well-being is as easy as … walking
You only have to look at the current state of our health service, to realise that modern medicine, so good at treating acute illness but without as much attention on prevention and long-term illness, is failing our patients.
There is an inextricable rise in demand for medical care which is unsustainable. Unless things change, this situation will only get worse. And more and more patients will suffer.
As an A&E Dr, in many ways, I provide a sticky plaster to societal problems. We need to move our mindset from treatment to prevention of illness.
Only lifestyle changes can truly reduce demand and in the medium to long term preserve a healthy service for all and not just those lucky enough to afford private care.
Doing regular exercise is the single most important thing that anyone can do for their health and thus reduce demand on health care systems.
Two new studies have shown that even small amounts of exercise both for adults and kids can make a massive difference to both physical and mental wellbeing. In this week’s mail health article, these scientific papers are reviewed and the importance of exercise examined.
In summary, get out there, walk or jog; even small amounts are so good for you - you don’t have to do a 10K or a marathon. But if you want that as a goal, as the medical director of the @BrightonMarathn I can thoroughly recommend our races!
Summer visitors of a different kind were spotted playing off Worthing seafront this morning - providing a great sign that our coastal waters are beginning to return to their former glory. 🐬
Our eagle-eyed coastal warden Michelle captured this video of dolphins off Splash Point.
@RishiSunak & #Chancellor TAKE NOTE. “Eminent institutions such as the Bank of International Settlements say that businesses reducing their profits is key for inflation to come down.Back in the UK […] it means fewer jobs, higher mortgage costs and lower growth in the future.”
Inflation in Spain has fallen to 2% - here’s why https://t.co/MEUwDoOl7q “Spain capped energy prices by more than the UK, lowered the cost of public transport, taxed excess profits and put in place limits on how much landlords can raise rents”.
Unless all political parties can see how scared/concerned/angry/frustrated we are about the current, head-in-the-sand recklessness of their environmental policies, they won't do anything about it. Well, here's something WE can do about it. Show them the numbers. Show them the votes.
NHS waiting lists are going up because for 13 years the Conservatives have actively undermined, underresourced and underfunded the NHS. They have failed to support staff and failed patients.
They can try and point fingers at whoever they want- this is on them.
RT if you agree💙
Worthing Borough Council has won its court battle to prevent a developer building 475 homes on Chatsmore Farm.
The Court of Appeal has rejected the challenge brought by Persimmon Homes after the Council refused to allow it to build on the green gap between Worthing and Ferring.
🚨 Would you be able to afford your treatment without the NHS?...
As the NHS approaches its 75th anniversary it's vital we pledge to continue campaigning to save our NHS

Patients are now dying because of what politicians have chosen to do to the NHS. Chosen.
You’re either against privatisation, or you’re against the NHS. Against the safe provision of healthcare for all.
If you’re against privatisation, please retweet this. Let’s send a message.
Observational studies are often thought of as "poor science" because although you see correlations between two variables i.e. cause (eg smoking) and effect (eg cancer) you can not 100% prove the cause. (because correlation does not always mean causation)
How many times do I have to debunk this. The Prime Ministers claim an above-inflation pay rise for our nurses & teachers will drive inflation is just another shameful LIE. If you are as sick of this as I am RT this widely
The 'haves' and the 'have nots' under Tory gov.
Soon the Financial Services Bill will become law & the regulation put in after the financial crash of 2008 will be dismantled.
If you vote Conservative then you're voting for corruption, a lower standard of living and turmoil. Fact.
“Despite the Brexiter promise of more money for the NHS, more than one in 10 Britons is now waiting for hospital treatment, the most since records began. Life expectancy for poorer people has fallen.”

Just heard #DominicRaab on Radio4 #PM.He said “if ministers can’t ask questions without shouting, swearing or losing their temper […] how can we deliver for the British people?”.You don’t have to shout and swear to be a good leader. You can be civil to your staff. It’s not hard.
