@kbo_coyote@misfitpatriot If your rule is ‘use race when outcomes look wrong,’ then outcomes are the goal and race becomes the tool. That’s exactly what the predominant factor rule is meant to prevent. I believe the standard should be making race a non-driver rather than fixing outcomes.
@kbo_coyote@misfitpatriot That is not the opposite, it’s your exact logic with a different justification. The debate is whether race should be a primary factor in drawing districts, and you’re arguing “yes, we should use race to engineer outcomes.”
