That Chinese food you can’t get enough of.
The nail salon everyone in town loves.
That insane Korean barbecue spot.
Some of the best local businesses in America and operated by immigrant families.
The unsung heroes?
Their children.
They show up at landlord meetings to translate starting in their early teens.
They help their parents build websites, create a social media presence, and work out vendor disputes.
Their parents wanted nothing more than for them to grow up with more opportunity than they had, and those kids often balance pressure of doing well in school and going to college with helping their parents out as much as possible.
I’ve been lucky to meet many of you over the years.
You’re becoming business leaders, doctors and lawyers.
Your parents sacrificed a lot for you to succeed, but you sacrificed a lot for them as well.
You may not think anyone notices all you do in the background.
But many do.
You’re taking your families to new heights, and inspiring the rest of us in the process.
Here’s to you ❤️
Purge all the crap from your wardrobe.
Only keep what you love to wear.
If you add anything new, have it replace something old.
Keep your wardrobe lean and mean.
This is the way.
Javier Milei just passed the most sensible law in world history - known as Articulo 209.
From now on, governmental institutions can no longer use the word "free" to promote any state service or function in municipal provinces or on a national level.
Milei considers the use of the word “free” a lie and feels citizens shouldn’t be lied to since the services always paid by someone, typically tax dollars.
If this were implemented in America, the Democrat Party would literally not be able to campaign anymore.
Laurent Duvernay-Tardif officially retired today.
He attended McGill University in Montreal before being drafted in 2014 by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 6th round.
Laurent then attended medical school during several offseasons, graduating from McGill with an MD in 2018.
Laurent sat out the 2020 season to help fight COVID at a hospital in Montreal, and he'll finish his career with a Super Bowl ring and $25 million in earnings.
Now that's a hell of a career 👏
The ironic part about declining used car prices:
It’s *not* due to waning consumer demand.
Let me explain.
A large chunk of car buyers in the U.S. are “payment shoppers”.
In other words, they’re *price insensitive* consumers who mostly care about their monthly payment.
So what’s actually driving the decline in used car prices?
Auto lenders.
Their lending standards have tightened:
1) reduced loan-to-value ratios
2) larger down payments
3) bigger fees, etc
and that’s killing sales conversion.
Now couple that with historically-low used car inventory and voilà — a perfect storm.
Bottom line:
Consumer demand is still there.
But lending supply has declined.

My #KeepinItReal rules for surviving a recession:
1. If you don’t need it, don’t buy it.
2. If you DO need it, buy half, put water in it, and shake it up.
3. If you’re under 35, max out your 401k contributions and consider more “aggressive” style allocations.
You’re welcome.
