@AndrewElswickWX It's simply based on how white lines hit the bottom of the screen over a period of time. Between 25 sec and 30 sec marks there were 20 lines (start of one to start of the next = 40 feet) travelled in 5.3 seconds. 3.7735 lines/sec = ~151 feet/sec or ~103 mph.
