@ParijatSen11 I agree. Systems based may not miss details but the overall picture seems to get fragmented.
I personally use a one liner summary
X admitted with septic shock secondary to pneumonia followed by a systems based breakdown. Same format in note and presentation in rounds.
I hesitate to reply on Twitter where nuance goes to die, but, a few points on this thread by JM et al focusing in on Watchman as that's an area I feel comfortable with the data and history. Let's start with a few stipulations:
@ZaidAbdelsattar@georgetolisjr That's an over simplification of the problem. There a lots of IMGs for instance who have tons of publications to improve their chances of matching into a competitive specialty but little interest in becoming a physician scientist.
@ahmsolmd@djc795@drjhatch I would counter that it's probably not the best plan to hold the patient on the table for as long as it takes for an IC to drop everything they are doing and come there.
Did you know that the on-screen tragedy of the Bollywood queens Madhubala, Meena Kumari and Mala Sinha that tugged at the emotion of Indians through the 40’s and 50’s is strangely connected to a relatively obscure sport of the time, Cycling? A thread. 1/13
