As part of preparations for the upcoming polio campaign in #Gaza, @WHO is training 2180 health workers on polio vaccination.

WHO considers there to be a high risk of spread of this strain within Gaza, and internationally, particularly given the impact the current situation continues to have on public health services.

We urge all parties to facilitate the implementation of the campaign so we can safely reach all eligible children and end polio transmission in Gaza.

In Gaza, 303 dys of cont. war no moment of rest for 2.3 mil people, using the most destructive conventional weapons. Continuing war claimed lives of 40,000 and caused physical injuries to 100,000 people, mostly children, women and elderly. This is an average of 462 victims/day.
