You CANNOT go back in time and change the decisions you took. Forgive yourself, move on, be your best version. You're alive and until death all defeat is psychological.
Rebuild.
Especially when you’re a good person. They love how it feels to be genuinely valued by you until receiving your energy requires responsibility and accountability.
narcissist people make it seem like everything is your fault and when you try to communicate with them they take it as arguing so they manipulate you and gaslight you into believing that your the problem so you sit there and walk on eggshells scared to address anything with them
When God is ready for you to leave someone, He’ll let you see the side of them you needed to see all along. The disrespect gets louder. The mask slips. The patterns become undeniable. Not because God wants you bitter, but because he knows you’ll keep loving the version of them that never really existed. Sometimes the revelation is the release.
I’m really not the type to just cut people off. If I love you, I’ll probably give you way more chances than I should. I’ll remember the good even when things get bad and keep hoping we can fix it. So if I ever get to the point where I completely walk away, just know I didn’t get there overnight. Something in me finally said enough is enough.
We have to remind ourselves that we are not responsible for how other people choose to treat us. Their manipulation, gaslighting, cruelty or lack of kindness belongs to them, not you. What belongs to you is how you respond. Set your boundaries, protect your peace and don’t let someone else’s behavior turn you into a version of yourself you don’t recognise. You can acknowledge what hurt you without letting it harden the beautiful soul you are.
and suddenly, i’m no longer interested in being someone’s girlfriend. i don’t think about my dream wedding dress anymore, i don’t romanticize love, i don’t get excited about any of it. somehow, all those feelings just disappeared. love made me a fool, and now i don’t want anything to do with it.
if i could make you understand just how badly you made me feel, you would probably never be able to look me in the eyes again.
because you didn't just hurt me in the moment. you changed the way i saw myself, and i don't think you'll ever fully understand what that cost me.
A narcissist will let his own house fall apart but be a hero everywhere else. Smiling for strangers, showing up and saving everybody but the people who love him. Behind closed doors? Cold, dismissive, and emotionally abusive. Image over integrity every time.
