Over a month ago, Andrea Pedro-Francisco was supposed to have surgery for the tennis-ball-sized cyst on her ovary. Now ICE refuses medical treatment for Andrea as she suffers in a packed, squalid cell 800 miles from home.
The pain from the cyst is so excruciating that before ICE grabbed Andrea, her doctors prescribed an opioid painkiller. ICE will only allow her Tylenol.
The cyst has grown so large that it could cut off her blood supply and even rupture.
Andrea was detained by ICE on her way to work. Now, after being shipped to a facility in Texas, she’s being kept in one room with 60 other people. Andrea and the other detainees get only one hour outside per day.
ICE refuses to provide medical care, instead telling Andrea she can go to a hospital in another country if she agrees to self-deport.
She has no criminal record, and she has been legally seeking political asylum and living in the US for years.
ICE has cut off almost every legal path for her freedom, including stonewalling multiple members of Congress and a team of pro bono attorneys.
Enough.
I can’t believe this is happening in America. This kind of blatant cruelty is beyond even the most vicious regimes.
Congress must stand up against the Trump administration, against ICE, and against their inhuman behavior.
„Anytime, my friend. All the best.” – Sergej Lawrow an Péter Szijjártó, 14. Februar 2020.
Pellegrini bekommt seinen Besuch.
„Anytime, my friend.” Eben.
🚨BREAKING: A federal judge just ordered the release of Jisella Johana Patin Patin, after ICE agents broke into her home and illegally arrested her, in South Burlington, Vermont.
As a recap…
Last week, ICE agents forced their way into a private home while executing a warrant for a completely different person.
The man they were supposedly looking for wasn’t inside.
Instead of leaving, agents arrested an Ecuadorian woman, who happened to be in the home, even though she was not the target of the warrant and is currently in the United States with a pending asylum case, meaning she is already in the legal process.
And as her attorney said…
“The fact that someone broke down the door to her home and detained her using a warrant that did not have her name on it — that’s a big constitutional violation… That can’t keep happening to people.”
That is not a small technicality… that goes to the core of how search warrants are supposed to work in this country.
A warrant is not a blank check...
It is not general authority to sweep up whoever is present. It is supposed to be specific and limited.
If agents can break into a home looking for one individual, fail to find that person, and then detain others who were not named… That’s a constitutional violation.
Now, she’s being released after a federal judge ruled there was no good reason to keep her detained.
Which is great… But that just raises the question:
If there was no good reason to detain her… why was she arrested in the first place?
Constitutional protections aren’t optional.
Homes are supposed to be protected spaces, and warrants are supposed to limit government power, not expand it.
When those boundaries blur, it puts everyone at risk.
This case isn’t just about one release...
It’s about whether the Fourth and Fifth Amendments still mean what they say when federal agents show up at your door.
I am the Ukrainian skeleton racer who was wrongfully disqualified from the Olympics last month because of my “Memory Helmet.”
Tonight in Milano-Cortina, the Paralympic Games are opening. The Committee has bizarrely permitted Russian soldier-athletes to participate under the Russian flag.
The head of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) literally stated that they don’t care about what Russian soldiers did in Ukraine. The problem is that we do care.
They are killing Ukrainians on the battlefield, bombing our cities, and committing genocide. Now, with this step of allowing them to compete, the IPC is giving them the opportunity to continue committing genocide by spreading Russian narratives with Russian flags and symbols.
They try to manipulate the situation by pointing out that the movement started after World War II, but during World War II the Olympic Games were cancelled, and German athletes were not invited and did not take part in the Games until 1952.
It looks like the head of the IPC doesn’t know the history of the Olympic and Paralympic movement at all.
What a shame.
This whole story is just getting worse and worse.

Our recent combined view of the Cat’s Eye Nebula is a testament to what humanity can achieve when nations unite behind a shared scientific purpose. No single country, institution, or mission could deliver this perspective alone. It required decades of trust, shared investment, pooled expertise, and a common belief that expanding human knowledge benefits us all.
International collaboration in science is fundamental because the questions we are trying to answer are bigger than any one nation. What is the Universe made of? How did it evolve? What is our place within it?
In tackling such profound questions, diversity of perspective is a strength. When we combine capabilities, infrastructure, data, and talent across continents, we accelerate discovery. In a world that can sometimes feel fragmented, science remains a powerful unifier. The Universe belongs to all of us, afterall.
It’s important that you understand what happened last night.
Last night, Stephen Colbert interviewed Democratic Texas Senate candidate James Talarico, a candidate who, by all accounts, is on track in the polls to flip Texas blue.
In response, Trump’s FCC reportedly threatened CBS if the interview aired.
CBS caved and pulled the segment, citing “financial reasons.”
In modern American history, no president has been more hostile to free speech than Donald Trump.
But censorship always backfires.
Here’s the full segment Trump didn’t want you to see.

The DOJ is giving Members of Congress just four computers in a satellite office to read the unredacted Epstein File of more than 3 million documents. Working 40 hours a week on nothing else but this, it would take more than seven years for the 217 Members who signed the House discharge petition to read just the documents they've decided to release (and there are 3 million still being withheld).
This is what a cover up looks like.
The House chamber was mostly empty. I’m unsure how many will ultimately hear it.
But I spoke today to sound an alarm for our nation.
To alert the country of the wholesale corruption engulfing our government & the work we must do end it.
I hope my fellow Americans will listen.
Even with everything in this Epstein drop, remember: this is a minority of the files.
This is STILL just what they were *willing* to release - in violation of the law, which requires release of all files.
Pam Bondi’s DOJ is still hiding most of them. We need them all.
