@hellothisisivan Her show got me through so many dark and miserable morning commutes. It was like sharing the ride with a mad, slightly drunk, old aunt. Unimaginable now that they’d let someone like her on Radio 2. The closest we had recently was Liza Tarbuck, and she’s gone too now.

A key part of Toryism is a belief in doing your bit for your local area, the power of little platoons, local voluntary action is preferable to mandatory central government action. @FUDdaily Yes, I think that sounds like a good plan. Norman Tebbit took a similar approach to the unions in the 80s. Successive Employment Acts, each focused on closing loopholes and obvious abuses of union power, with each act building upon the last. Still plenty of screeching though.
