People don't struggle to invest well, marry well, stay mentally well; they struggle to develop and maintain their good judgment; they struggle to apply what they already know they should be doing; they struggle to reconnect with their core intuitions and stay playfully focused:
Trading is not rocket science.
When a trend starts, it can continue for a while.
That's all you need to know.
Now, find a simple way to identify low-risk entry points, hop on board, and manage your expectations.
And prepare to be wrong a fair number of times.
That's it.
A great family starts with a great marriage, and a great marriage starts with a great relationship with yourself: that's when you will naturally attract people who are also in a great relationship with themselves, that's when you can finally start focusing on goals that matter.
The internet sells complexity because complexity sells.
But profit comes from doing the same simple thing, over and over again. Without stories. Without drama.
Assume that it's always possible to be a loyal spouse, a loving parent, a devoted child, a thoughtful friend, a productive citizen, an avid learner, a disciplined athlete, an unconstrained artist, an independent thinker, a wise human being that doesn't take themselves too seriously; then learn how to be constantly more efficient with your time, leave your judgments and ego aside, leverage your capital fearlessly, get rid of your pride and use all the tools available, and go live your greatest life.
They say “most businesses fail, most marriages fail, most investments fail” but then you look at the average person who represents “most” of those attempts, and you realize how little humility they have in business, how little intellectual and emotional connection they have in marriage, and how little long-term conviction they have in investing.
As an adult, your potential is exactly what you have achieved, nothing less, nothing more.
So many people still haven't unlearned the mindset of "I could have done better if I had studied harder."
In real life, no one cares about your external circumstances, your private life, or that the games you chose to play are unfair.
You find a way to get results and you move forward, or you don't and you stay where you are.
Life goes by awfully fast for people who don't nurture the mental strength to take the pain and question themselves when they stagnate.
Relationships are actually simple once you understand that no one wants to take responsibility for where you are in life.
Fix your health, your finances, your insecurities; clarify your purpose, become a reliable person for your family, clarify the kind of person you need to become to deserve better friends;
and suddenly, you will start making a lot of wonderful serendipitous encounters with people who care, and these relationships will last.
Intelligence isn't about getting what you want, it's about getting what you need; most people will actually live their whole lives never noticing that so many of their "wants" are actually manufactured by other people.
Hard truth: You’ll have more critics if you strive for excellence than if you settle for mediocrity. Average is addictive. It’s applauded by the crowd. You won’t be criticized for staying the same. You’ll be encouraged. Criticism is the cost of entry for the life you want.
System trading = you’re the house.
Math, rules, repetition.
Boring… but profitable.
Discretionary trading = you’re the player.
Feel, intuition, timing.
Exciting… but volatile.
Pick your side.

"Trading is a psychological game. Most people think they are playing against the market, but the market doesn't care. You’re really playing against yourself."
~ Martin Schwartz
If you want to do anything big, get used to people questioning your choices.
Delusional conviction
Delusional optimism
It won't look "normal" to most, and it shouldn't.
I’ve never seen a profitable trader
who didn’t go through hell first.
Blown accounts, Doubt and Pain.
But they didn’t quit.
The struggle builds the skill.
If you’re in pain,
you’re in progress. 👊
