@michellemosier One of the most significant things I learned about from this class was new perspectives from reading the Bible. I’ve never really understood or read about the experiences of the women from the OT or Book of Judges, so it was very eye opening to hear their stories in depth.

@michellemosier I liked the parable with the marriage feast/wedding banquet in Matthew 22. It was important because it discusses, “for many are called, but few are chosen.” This means that everyone is called into heaven, but you have to “earn” your way into heaven, not everyone earns their way.

@michellemosier One thing that really stood out to me about Jesus this week, was that he tells us to not pray in front of others. This is because we should do it to praise God, not “show off” to others that we are doing so. (Matthew 6: 5-7.) #drmtheo111 #qotw12

@michellemosier I thought it was interesting to read about Delilah. She was strong and courageous and didn’t have her status from a man. She wasn’t threatened, like the timnite woman, instead she was offered a large sum of wages due to a status she made for herself.

@michellemosier I really enjoyed reading about Deborah because people looked up to her and came to her for advice which was not common at this time. She was a woman of fire, a prophet, a warrior, and a judge. It was exciting to read about a smart, and assertive woman.

@michellemosier It was really interesting to learn about Leah and Rachel. As sisters, they loved the same man. Then Rachel’s father betrayed her and offered Jacob to Leah even though Jacob loved Rachel. Interesting to see how woman were treated with marriage situations.

@amanda13mac @michellemosier I thought this was a really interesting point too. Because Eve didn’t tempt Adam. Adam was tempted by the serpent when listening to Eve and the serpent. He chose to eat the apple out of his own temptations, not because of Eve.
