@EmmaWelchXU25@michellemosier I agree, I have read the Bible since a very young age in school, and have never realized how many different lenses there are to look through.
@Courtthamiltonn@michellemosier I agree that being open to discussion is so important. Even if you really believe your right, what wrong could happen from discussing it with someone who may disagree?
@michellemosier#DrMTheo111#QOTW14 The most important thing I learned is that there are multiple ways to read literature and based on which point of view you take, you can make a different interpretation, both of which can be correct.
@EmmaWelchXU25@michellemosier I agree, I also believe there's two ways to read the Bible, one is why you take the literal meaning of the words, and the other is when you try and think what it was like and the true meaning at at the time.
@Courtthamiltonn@michellemosier I agree, just taking a new perspective to see why some side believes something even if you don't agree with it can never hurt.
@michellemosier I think the most important thing I learned is that when reading the Bible you must have different lenses in which you read the texts. You do this so you can have a better understanding of what the texts actually means #QOTW14#drmtheo111
@EmmaWelchXU25@michellemosier the Bible says the kingdom of God is open to all who are willing to repent. They meant it, and Jesus shows everyone this openness.
@hammannj3@michellemosier Its one thing to say you will do something, its another to just do it without saying anything. Its like doing a chore without being asked.
@michellemosier My favorite is the mustard seed parable, as it states that the smallest things can have the biggest change on our lives. It does not take much to believe in the kingdom of heaven but it once its there it grows into something amazing #drmstheo111 QOTW13
@michellemosier I think the Timnite woman was the most interesting story, because she showed true loyalty to her people. However, it is quite said that she ended up dying#DrMTheo111 #QOTW11
@michellemosier I believe Jael was most interesting only because her story is just so intriguing. she may not have made a great choice but we don't know exactly what the circumstances were like back then #DrMTheo111#QOTW10
@JannaRaeber@michellemosier While I know there were many other options for her, her decision to me was distasteful. It was manipulative, and deceiving.
@amortimer17@michellemosier I am very interested in this story because even though she was pushed away by Naomi she stood by her, even when it would have been easier to leave her behind.
@michellemosier To me the most interesting woman is Naomi, because it is a story I can relate to. When I am down I tend to push people away, just as she did to ruth. #DrMTheo111#QOTW9
@amortimer17@michellemosier His silence is just as culpable as his actions. He knew just as well as eve that it was not allowed and he said nothing and continued to eat the fruit.
@EmmaWelchXU25@michellemosier when I initially read the story long ago I believed Adam was a coward for trying to get eve to eat the fruit first. Now I realize he was convinced just as much as she was
