@michellemosier I learned how the bible can be reinterpreted and refocused on a woman's perspective. The women who were oppressed were able to overcome that oppression. Also, learning about women who were warriors, assains, and leaders shows women's strength in this society. #qotw14 #drmtheo111

@michellemosier #drmtheo111 #qotw13 The wedding banquet was the most interesting. It shows how Jesus welcomes everyone to the kingdom, not just the "chosen people". Also, the part of the story with the underdressed man represents how Jesus wants us to be prepared and be fully committed to him.

@michellemosier #drmtheo111 #qotw12 I learned that Jesus doesn’t choose the people who are already good to follow him, instead he searches for sinners and invites them to follow him and have dinner with him. This shows how Jesus is merciful and wants everyone to come to know him and follow him.

@michellemosier Jael was the most interesting since she was known as the "blessed assassin". When first reading her story, it didn't seem like she's "blessed". But after studying her story, she is a warrior that outsmarted Sisera by using the only leverage that women had. #drmtheo111 #qotw10

Hagar was a slave, Egyptian, and forced into sex with Abraham. Yet God appeared to her twice and made a promise to her. #drmtheo111 #qotw9

@michellemosier I think Bathsheba was the most interesting woman. When I was younger, I knew the the story of Bathsheba and David; it seemed harmless and maybe cultural. But I learned that David committed adultery, rape, killed her husband, and then forced her to marry him. #drmtheo111 #qotw9

@michellemosier I learned in Genesis 1-3 that men and women were made equally and were BOTH given dominion over creation. I learned that one gender is not better or higher than the other and God intended for a relationship between the genders to be of mutuality, not hierarchy. #qotw8 #drmtheo111
