I'd always been taught that Eve was the only one at fault, but when looking at the story the way we did, it opened it upfor questioning.

@SophiaOlivia03 @michellemosier I agree with you! I enjoyed reading the Bible in a way that didn't automatically give women zero worth, and I thought it really changed the perspective of some of the stories.

@amortimer17 @michellemosier I liked this one as well. It reminded me of a Latin phrase that I love from the Bible "fidem servavi", which translates to I have kept the faith. It means that we have to keep our faith in God.

@hammannj3 @michellemosier I liked this one as well because it relates to the message we've all been told since we were children of making your actions speak louder than your words. You can say you will do something but what matters is if you actually do it.

@HannahMartin15x @michellemosier When he was telling everyone to lead, I also thought that it was interesting how he taught them the ways that he would lead ie, not accepting anything in return, and that they should accept to have to flee their land.

@PeropatKristen @michellemosier I think this really shows how accepting Jesus was of all people, not just those who were good people. The tax collectors were certainly not viewed very highly by the people, and neither were the sinners so the fact that Jesus sat with them shows how accepting he was of all people

@michellemosier The most important thing that I learned about Jesus was his messages about almsgiving and how it should be done in secret. Matt. 6:3, 6:6. All of the good works Jesus did were done not for praise but for the sake of doing good works, and we should that as well #qotw12 #drmtheo111

@SophiaOlivia03 @michellemosier I also thought it was interesting how Delilah was one of the only woman studied this week who's name was used in describing her. It shows how independent she was. She wasn't known as anyone's mother or daughter or wife. She was her own person and her actions really show that.

@Charlie29wright @michellemosier I also thought it was interesting how she was treated as an object throughout most of the story but still had to be smart and clever enough to be able to react and make the "right" decision in this situation.

@michellemosier I think the most interesting woman from Judges was the Timnite woman who was seen as an object throughout most of the story. I thought it was clever and smart how she tricked the other men in order to save her own life and that of her families. #qotw11 #drmtheo111

@amortimer17 @michellemosier I thought she was interesting for how she used her limited role in society to her advantage in this case. Women were not allowed to do much in this society, but they are allowed to entertain others, and she definitely used that role to her advantage when it came to killing Sisera

@PeropatKristen @michellemosier I also thought how interesting it was that Jael and woman of Thebez were both recognized in the book of Judges for actions that were very similar. They both displayed great courage and killed an enemy leader, greatly helping their country.

@michellemosier I think the woman of Thebez was the most interesting woman from Judges. Her efforts in killing Abimelech were enough to make her known as one of a warrior woman. Through her actions, she displayed great courage and helped the country very much. #drmtheo111 #qotw10

@SchoffSydney @michellemosier With Hannah too, she had the strength to ask for help. Women in this time period who could not have children were not viewed of very highly, and the fact that she was willing to ask God for help in giving her a son shows her devotion to Him.

@Daniell95495660 @michellemosier I thought it was interesting learning about Hagar as well. I had never learned very much about her before, except her involvement in Abraham's covenant where much of her story, and her side of the commonly known story was left out.

@michellemosier I think Hannah was the most interesting woman that was studied. She showed her devotion to God by giving up her only son to Him.I also admire the strength she had to ask God for help, since women who could not have children in this time period were not valued. #qotw9 #drmtheo111

@amanda13mac @michellemosier I though this was interesting too. Often when I'd heard the story, I'd always heard that the woman was the one that tricked the man into it, however that was not true. He had his own free will and also chose to eat the fruit of the tree.

@Lauren_Briggs28 @michellemosier I agree with you! In previous classes (both in high school and elementary school) I had only been taught the hierarchal ideas, of a man being superior, from the beginning over women. I think it so interesting how there are so many interpretations of the same story.
