@mrtinfoilsocket @ClimateAudit That's what I thought, which is why I was surprised to read that US manufacturers were less USMCA compliant and therefore more impacted by these tariffs.

Although the Canadian market is a smaller part of their business so this wouldn't be as devastating to the US carmakers.

@seanorr I'm all for fixing root causes, but it will be years before any of that makes a difference to the shitshow on our streets.

We also need to deal with the problem we have now. And that will involve police and treatment and in some cases institutionalization.

@jkenney Can Canada be far behind? Sadly, the answer is yes, we can be very far behind indeed.

And we are likely to remain so unless a whole lot more of us start to question the status quo (doubtful while Trump is in power).

The Century Initiative argues for importing another 60 million people. Not sure that still makes sense.
