If you thought AI progress was slowing down, well here's the immediate answer to that. Huge jump in capability across the board. This is going to deliver major improvement in agents across almost all knowledge work categories.
it’s in gemini, just create it in ai studio. oh, that’s for your personal google one account. for workspace you need gemini business. no, not gemini advanced, that’s ai pro now. unless you need ai ultra. oh agents? you do that in spark actually. no, not gemini api managed agents, that’s different. for coding use jules. unless you mean the agentic ide, that’s antigravity. no, that’s the old antigravity, download the new one. actually gemini cli is being deprecated, use antigravity cli. no the flash model is smarter than the pro model. unless you need pro. if it’s video, use flow. no, flow uses veo. no, nano banana is images. actually that’s in gemini now. unless you’re in search, then it’s ai mode. no, research is notebooklm. anyway it’s all very simple.
“can i start you off with an appetizer, maybe 30 tortillas?”
“god no, i can’t eat that many tortillas!”
“how about if cut them up into triangles, fry them in seed oil, & serve them with some salsa?”
“omg that sounds delightful”.
@bcherny Whoa. Wouldn't have thought that possible. I'm imagining cases where you have a skill that said something like "before editing code" in the frontmatter, so it's implicitly triggered. Or really any "look at X before you do Y" pattern, especially when "X" is likely to invoke MCPs..
@BobbyChanLeB@albfresco@signulll It turns out I am the one who misread the tweet, so despite being in my 40s, perhaps *my* literacy scores were impacted...
asking people to read ai-generated text is offensive.
this is not because ai text is intrinsically bad. rather, the author has not paid a cost to write the text himself. this cost is a credible signal he finds its communication important.
so: not paying that cost is telling
@BobbyChanLeB@albfresco@signulll The graphs in that tweet don't even say what the tweet says they do.. and I doubt that's the end of the issues with that claim.
Love this reminder from @tfadell
"Makers often focus on the shiny object—the product they’re building—and forget about the rest of the journey until they’re almost ready to deliver it to the customer. But customers see it all, experience it all. They’re the ones taking the journey, step-by-step."
This has been obviously coming for years now. Leaders: time to sharpen those hard skills. ICs: time to become AI builders.
If you haven’t started yet, today is as good of a day as any.
In today's episode of "make it a chat box!", I present to you...Expensify
As a...
– Person who needs to submit expenses
I want...
– Talk to my expenses
so that...
– Every piece of software I use is a chat box
@rvivek lol I just found this tweet. I hadn't used the mobile app in like a year. Last time it was the same old, glitchy interface. But now it's one I genuinely can't figure out how to use. I just wanted to share a PDF into it, and I started a conversation with myself and my file..?
.@expensify I don't mean to alarm you, but someone has replaced the Expensify app with some kind of weird "chat with my expense reports" UI?
..everything ok over there?
