@cheesetrader1 To the question of who will Messer set to, a few KU freshmen hitters are looking good, and will get significant pt! Obvi freshies outside of top recruits must make names for themselves, but remember the names Taylor Stanley, Tessa Dodd, and Avery Poulton. Also, messer is GOOD

@jortizie @alexaphilippou They guard her that way bc it’s the clear and easy way to shake her. She’ll hit some tough shots, but overall, Cc stinks when guarded tough. Yet she’ll continue shooting and missing. Sure, she’ll score 20 every night. On bad efficiency. With 5-7 turnovers.

@HolderStephen She is not a great player. Certainly not all caps. She WAS a great COLLEGE player. Maybe it’s just semantics, but she has not earned being called a great player at the wnba level. She’s had flashes of greatness. Players are GREAT when they do it consistently

@OfficialChipC @SamQuinnCBS I respect your perspective as a ref with an advanced understanding of the rules. I also believe (good faith) fans can spot flailing when we see it, foul or not. SGA is the poster boy right now, but I’m fed up with it in general.

@OfficialChipC @SamQuinnCBS I’d disagree with extremet bias. I’m speaking to what tit feels like to watch SGA, and others who flail a lot, play. Yes, it was hyperbole in a literal sense, but as a fan, it feels like every time. During a game noticeable amounts of flailing elicit negative fan reactions

@OfficialChipC @SamQuinnCBS Allen got bumped at the hip, which actually shifted him back. Kicks his leg as he catches himself. Balls in his left hand and he throws it up. Not much drama.

As a ref, perhaps it’s all in the same bucket for you, but there’s a very different feeling when a player is selling

@OfficialChipC @SamQuinnCBS I don’t see that he flailed to sell contact. He got bumped and still threw up a shot. It’s certainly not a 1-1 comparison to SGA imo. SGA’s flails are typically unnatural movements. And he does it every time, every drive.
Subjective? Probably. Yet we all see/feel it

As far as Twitter/fan engagement goes, calling out flailing as weak and/or aesthetically displeasing is all we can do. I agree with you that the appropriate terms should be used in this effort
