Alex Onyia organized a competition for thousands of students, and the very best emerged. There was no outside influence. No special treatment for children of governors, senators, or other powerful people. It was simply a fair, merit-based selection process.
Those students went on to the world stage and shone brightly, proving what Nigerians can achieve when talent is given a chance.
One of the reasons we struggle as a nation is that our best people don't always get the opportunity to make an impact. Too often, merit takes a back seat while mediocrity finds its way into positions of influence and decision-making.
When we consistently reward competence, excellence becomes the standard. When we reward connections instead, we should not be surprised by the outcomes like the Olodo culture.
The wait is over.
We have 2 golds: Chimdiebube Onwubiko and Don Anele Munachimso.
We are the best in the world!
Egejurum Onyedikachi’s name was omitted. He should have a gold.
@winexviv The delegation from the ministry will be larger than the number of students going for the competition. It would be yet another opportunity to waste resources.
Ahead of joining numerous other young people from different parts of the world, the Aguata champions have arrived Kigali, Rwanda, for the 2026 Pan-African Innovation Boot Camp.
My team and I are intentional with the desire to impact in the lives of the twenty high-flying Aguata students.
Our vision is to reposition grass-root governance through interventions in education, youth development, etc.
May the future of these champions be brighter.
From Aguata, to the World!
For us, Impossibility is Nothing.
While Peter Obi stopped in Nise to encourage citizens registering for their PVCs, something unforgettable happened.
A blind man in the crowd began calling out, “Where is Peter Obi?” Peter Obi walked over, held his hand, and said, “I am Peter Obi.”
The man replied, “I heard you were here, so I came. I need help. The place where people with disabilities were cared for during your time as governor has been taken from us. We have been left on our own.”
Peter Obi listened attentively, supported him with a token for his immediate welfare, and assured him the matter would receive attention.
This is why many people speak about the impact of Peter Obi’s leadership with conviction. For them, it isn’t propaganda or political rhetoric, it’s lived experience and visible even to the blind.
Good leadership is remembered long after a tenure ends. It is felt in the lives it touches, especially by the most vulnerable.
It is safe to say that under a Peter Obi presidency, people with disabilities would not be forgotten, but included, protected, and treated with dignity.
#NigeriaWillBeOk
I just came from Campus where I went to visit my daughter. I owe her admission to God and the effort of one man, Alex Onyia. He challenged JAMB for failing students from Lagos and Southeastern States.
Fortunately, JAMB admitted their error and exams were rewritten. My daughter who had previously scored 179, later scored 299 which gave her straight admission for her chosen course of study.
Alex Onyia organized the successful South East Maths Olympiad where three students Egejurum Onyedikachi, Onwubiko Chimdiebube and Don-Anele Munachimso emerged as champions. They won cash prizes in millions together with their teachers. Many corporate organizations were partners.
The students are currently competing on a global stage at the International STEM Olympiad Grand Finale happening in Rome from July 2nd - 8th.
This is not the effort of the Federal Government of Nigeria or a State Government or Local Government. It is the effort of just one man with support from the citizenry - Alex Onyia!
@AskMichaelTaiwo A strong 3rd Class is a perfect GPA same for strong 2nd class upper😁🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️.
Sadly, they may be professing blind faith to change the tide for their selection.
@DrJoeAbah Here's the trick, if a certain demography of women asks you "How are you?" Simply respond with, I am good thanks. I am sure you are doing ok too. Then japa!
@GloriousGod01 Ask him to send the 100k back and if he can wait 1 more week, you will be able to send him 200k. Trust me he will not see the trap. Greed will make him send it back. Once you have the money, you know what to do. I can't teach you everything😁
@Awele_sofine We are used to jumping into issues without understanding them. It's like when Lagos generated electricity meant for Lagos years back, and the FG insisted the state must pump it into the National grid.
Thank you for breaking it down for people to (hopefully) understand.
I promised to come with receipts, this is an excitement I cant contain. Years of hard work, investing in these kids is paying off hugely.
We have just broken 20 year long record in the just concluded Pan African Maths Olympiad, 2026, in Ivory Coast.
Nigeria won 3 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal.
Silver:
Chimfumnanya Aghaduno of Penny International School, now studying at African Olympiad Academy
Damaris Oyerinde of Ambassadors College,Ota
Luis Lu of Nigerian Tulips International College, Abuja
Bronze:
Ikenna Enwere of BrightSun. By the way, he got the second highest score (370) in Jamb this year, amazing talent.
This is the first time Nigeria has a female student that secures Silver medal at PAMO making Chimfumnanya the first Nigerian female with the highest score at PAMO ever.
This also means this is the first time we have 2 girls securing Silver medals from Nigeria.
This is a huge win for Nigeria and testament to the investment @SpecialMaths had made on these kids in the last couple of years.
Moment like this brings pure joy, we remain resolve that every child that enters our doors would leave a champion.
Big congratulations to the students, parents, schools for your continual cooperation.
The building in the first frame has been trending since yesterday. Isaac Fayose, who sparked the trend, claimed that the building (belonging to an unnamed Senator) is located in Asokoro, Abuja.
Well, I did a quick check and what I found is mind-blowing.
The modern castle belongs to Senator Kenneth Eze Emeka, a senator representing the Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, under the APC.
Before being elected, for the first time, to the Senate, in 2023, he had served as the Executive Chairman of Ezza South LGA.
Strikingly, he built this mansion shortly after becoming a Senator. What's worse? He is from one of the poorest LGAs in the South East.
Before venturing into politics, Senator Ken Eze - as he’s fondly called - had not held any official top management position in the private sector. His only pathway to wealth was politics.
How did he climb in politics? He is a close friend of the former Ebonyi state governor, Dave Umahi. After helping Umahi win the 2015 governorship election, Senator Ken Eze was rewarded with the LGA Chairman position, through which he accumulated wealth and rose to the Senate.✍️
