@realEstateTrent I’ve been scared of PE multiples for 2 yrs, but im more scared of not outgrowing inflation.

After DCAing into these stocks for 4yrs I think I can take a 50% drawdown and still be where I would hve been had I been in treasuries which just don’t seem like a viable alternative.

@Schornack @RegZeller @BarkNyrk @blueprintsmb22 What are some financing strategies for businesses like this? I’ve seen some sub 10% margin manufacturers carrying 6x turns of ebitda on their balance sheet from a reputable bank. I can’t make it work.

@rohitdotmittal 6. Give investors the remaining money back and maintain those relationships. Fight like hell to find soft landing for employees. I’ve actually seen this work quite well. At least as good as trying to close an M&A transaction with a similar result.

@realEstateTrent I have this issue with all the e-sign tools. Most allow you to copy/paste/send a link to the LP. I use box most often for this.

Lots of room for improvement with all these tools still IMO

@kylehtucker @RayDalio @verdadcap I tell myself that markets rise and fall all the time. The pain experienced during the downturns seems to be more severe in other markets and the US recovers fastest… may just be confirmation bias but betting against the US economy never feels appropriate.

@seandsweeney I hear a lot about this from people who are joining expensive social clubs. However, I don’t recognize this actually happening at any level of scale among any demo groups. Especially not young people

I see lots hiring consultants to build low code and Ai workflow automations. Like what digital media firms used to be.

I keep telling myself to get started.

@realEstateTrent I’ve had cohorts of 3-20 interns every summer since 2016. All high performers doing all the right things.

The first cohort and the most recent are having very different experiences.

Tigher capital markets and less economic activity generally feel like the driving force.

@alex_borkin How do you split revenue with contractor? Gross profit? Gross revenue? I imagine this could be flexible depending on trade.

What do you do about uncollectable accounts? Who pays the crews?

@realEstateTrent Never once seen a violent crime here. My wife rides subway alone day/night. Never heard a gunshot. Never seen a needle

I DO see plenty of homelessness but the new generations have decided not to throw them in jail. Fine

I really hope we don’t start policing the “what if’s”
