NYSC 2025 Batch C registration opened on July 4th, and as usual the portal is doing nonsense again.
Thousands of people can’t register, and with just 2 days left, I decided to dig in and see why the site keeps hanging.
Here’s what I found

DISCLAIMER ⚠️
Dear Fresh PCMs,
Please note that access to the registration portal is currently unstable due to heavy traffic.
We’ve observed that in the rush to complete registration, some PCMs are not paying adequate attention, leading to errors such as uploading another person’s passport or biometric data.
Be aware that such mistakes can cause serious complications on your profile.
Kindly remain calm and patient, the portal will stabilize soon, and you’ll be able to complete your registration successfully.
👉 Pay close attention during registration.

I used to doubt God a lot, honestly. But today changed everything for me.
In Nigeria we have NYSC which is a one-year service program for graduates.
Registration opened on Monday, and it was packed. Millions of graduates trying to register, plus the stress of facial and biometric verification.
Monday, I left home by 6:30am and stayed till 7:30pm — nothing worked.
Tuesday, same thing — early morning, no result.
Wednesday again — still nothing.
Today, Thursday, my mum called and said, “My son, pray before you go.”
I didn’t even fully believe, and I woke up late — around 9:48am. I felt like I already missed my chance
But I still prayed, got ready, and left around 10:20am. Reached there around 11:45am. People were frustrated, saying the system wasn’t working.
I walked to the officer and politely asked him to try for me.
He shouted that the server was down. I still calmly asked again. He tried — and it worked instantly. He was shocked
He quickly completed everything for me in less than 2 minutes.
Right after mine went through, the server went down again for everyone else. People were surprised, asking what I did. I just said, “I prayed.”
Honestly, even I didn’t expect it.
TL:DR
Today taught me something real: God shows up. And sometimes, prayer changes everything
even when you’re not fully sure. God really does answer.

🔧 Linux is the Real Hero Behind Kubernetes.
Before diving into K8s YAML files and kube-proxy tuning… ask yourself:
Do you really understand what’s powering it all?
Many DevOps Engineers don’t fully understand the Kubernetes logs structure or its placements.
Here, I’ve made this to help you better understand.

Kubernetes Ingress Vs Gateway API 👇
Most Kubernetes deployments today use Ingress to expose HTTP(S) traffic.
It works, but it has notable caveats:
Tied to HTTP
Cluster scoped
Limited Extensibility
No Fine grained Routing Control
and so on.,
If haven’t explored the Gateway API yet, you might be missing out on more flexible traffic control and multi protocol support.
