I have experienced optimism about my investment decisions, especially with my 401k that I have through my employer. I find it easier to focus on the influx of funds rather than the declines, even though I know both are meaningful and should be carefully monitored. #mavDM

@ctusa_uno I have seen this as well in many companies that I have worked for. It is hard to accept failure, especially when other people or organizations are involved. I think this is where it can be helpful to focus on the effort rather than the outcome. #mavDM

I recently noticed the authority in my workplace become a part of an escalation of commitment. They continued alotting money and resources into a failed program, because they had already committed to the investment and notified the community. #mavDM

I appreciated Schulz's honesty about getting her tattoo and the regret she experienced. I think a lot of people mask their regret so they don't look bad. It is great that she is using her negative experience to teach others not to worry about regret too much. #mavDM

@PluggeNate I completely agree! It seems silly, but everyone does it - and I don't think we even realize when we are experiencing choice overload. I have done the same thing with minor things at the grocery store. I guess I need to shop at @AldiUSA from now on. #mavDM

Iyengar discusses the negative outcomes of choice overload. I have experienced this with job searches - when there are a large number of jobs available, it is more difficult to decide on the best places to apply. Fewer options produce far less difficulty in choosing. #mavDM
