@zarathustra5150 Yes it was. It was a powerhouse back then. I grew up in Ohio and I watched it go from thriving with lots of culture, jobs and democratic politics to despair. It all started to decline in the late 1970s and 1980s when the factories left for Asia and Mexico.

@sciencegirl This was captured with a long exposure. See the people that look like ghosts in the image? The light beams are enhanced by the dust and smoke (probably from cigarettes) in the air that scattered the light. The long exposure made it more dramatic. (Film Photographer here.)

@CapitalF @_Zeets @BrndnStrssng The last indie film we made was around 2007-2008. We also made an indie docu series in the 2010s and signed with a distributor that got it on Hulu and Amazon Prime. The contract was for 10 years and he only paid us 240 bucks. Then he went MIA. The series is still on Prime.

@morjcity @_Zeets That too. We are looking into doing another indie with one of our directors in the Latin market. He has been able to find a pretty good audience in Mexico with Spanish language crossover stories that are both American and Mexican. We will see!
