@LawMedRNlegal1@Cheering4Change Then the news folks call Comms from the hospital to ask for a statement or any updates. In high profile situations usually its the Comms that deals with reporters or the family spokesperson does. But reporting police presence doesn't violate HIPPA.
@LawMedRNlegal1@Cheering4Change Any journalist can stand outside of a hospital. News desks regularly call hospitals to see where people are that they are reporting on so that they can send a crew and a reporter to GO STAND OUTSIDE THE HOSPITAL.
@zarathustra5150 Yes it was. It was a powerhouse back then. I grew up in Ohio and I watched it go from thriving with lots of culture, jobs and democratic politics to despair. It all started to decline in the late 1970s and 1980s when the factories left for Asia and Mexico.
@sciencegirl This was captured with a long exposure. See the people that look like ghosts in the image? The light beams are enhanced by the dust and smoke (probably from cigarettes) in the air that scattered the light. The long exposure made it more dramatic. (Film Photographer here.)
@anthon7yandrews@DanteHub22 No worries, I am a fast typer from years of transcribing interviews for our videos and for TV news before we had voice AI! It helps that they had the Italian captions on screen.
@CapitalF@_Zeets@BrndnStrssng The last indie film we made was around 2007-2008. We also made an indie docu series in the 2010s and signed with a distributor that got it on Hulu and Amazon Prime. The contract was for 10 years and he only paid us 240 bucks. Then he went MIA. The series is still on Prime.
@morjcity@_Zeets That too. We are looking into doing another indie with one of our directors in the Latin market. He has been able to find a pretty good audience in Mexico with Spanish language crossover stories that are both American and Mexican. We will see!
@NYCGymGirlFall@_Zeets Our first piracy was hysterical. The director of the film was traveling through China and saw his film in pirated DVD cases at a shop. The artwork was SO BADDD.
@CapitalF@_Zeets@BrndnStrssng Yep. The margins don't even exist anymore. You could get a nice advance for video store distribution back in the day. The distributor would promise so many units in the first pass. No more of that. Streaming killed it.
