@STorresPuig The view was breathtaking, and the food was amazing, making it a truly wonderful location to discuss bacteria 😁
Hope to see you there next time!
It’s wonderful to look back on the past week, which I spent at #BacNet24. The days spent listening to amazing talks and the nights spent discussing with other scientists have resulted in many new friends, as well as new questions and techniques I can apply to my own project 🧫🦠
Magnus Zimmermann Østergaard, @bmbSDU will defend his thesis "Functional genetics of Pseudomonas aeruginosa stress-response systems and their relevance in bacteriophage defense" Friday, May 31 at 1pm in the BMB Seminar Room, SDU Campus Odense.
Friday evening survey for PIs - what’s your best photo of you, that has been photoshopped in some way by your lab? I’ll go first.

Beyond excited to share my first paper from my PhD @DPhaz Lab @IMS_MRL now out in @embojournal! Special thanks to Sam from @TVPLab and @dougall_norris for co-leading this project with me. We found that many cell culture models, despite living in 18% oxygen, are hypoxic! 🧵below:

This little project just came out - I had a student who wrote such an outstanding exam report on the GSR for my MSc microbiology course last year that we decided to see if we could publish together in minireview format. And here it is! 😀https://t.co/B7SUJv84iA
Just returned from a wonderful visit to the University of Southern Denmark. It was such a pleasure to meet the Molecular Microbiology Team @NATsdu!
Thanks so much for the warm welcome!
I am considering looking for a Bacillus subtilis SpoV mutant for my upcoming teaching this semester (to show the students endospores under the phase-contrast microscope), does anybody have one they could share?
Once again, we gathered for a game of padel, with representatives from the entire BMB team. Both beginners and experienced players had fun both on and off the court @bmbSDU
Science celebration at the @bmbSDU young investigator symposium today. Big thanks to @RSiersbaek@FiskerSchmidt@AnneloftSdu @KSomyajit @Lin2power_two for sharing exciting results and future plans.🔬🧬🚀
Ready for the second poster session! Come by poster 108 for a look into how we are characterising isolated phages and using Tn-seq to find resistance mechanisms. I will try to avoid going into lysis! ;)
