@GeauxWaldenU That IS a struggle! When our school moved to a 1to1 model, students struggled to find that balance of using the computer positively for learning or for gaming and Netflix in the classroom. It takes time. We teach and then re-teach those expectations. #6710DB2
@SportyMorty2 I agree! I think that actually failing in front of students humanizes teachers and can actually help build relationships with the students! I see a lot of my kids for 4 years. They've learned to be comfortable with that it's ok to fail and try again in my class! #6710DB2
@Educator2021 YES! I've come to realize/expect that anytime I introduce a new tech concept, something will go wrong. No matter how much I prepare for the unexpected. I'm learning to prep my kids that my new tech will probably be quirky the first few times.

A "Big Shift" I (and my students) must overcome is the thought of the use of blogging (or writing in general) in the choral classroom. "We sing. Why would we need to write?" I have to do better at being open to finding those opportunities to write in my classroom. #6710DB2
According to Carol Dweck, we must move from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. As educators, we must be open to change and champion use of technology in the classroom. Through that, educators, with time and experience, become experts in tech in their classroom. #6710DB2
