couldn’t be more excited about some of the things brewing in our labs @adobe for the future of creativity & marketing.
increasingly clear to me:
(1) the better the AI models the better the tools AND the shorter the workflows. any advance in model quality (our own native ones or plugins from third-parties) enrich outcomes and make the tools more powerful.
(2) GenAI is just another source of “raw footage” that is used to craft a story. but the “craft” part (the editing, the taste, the precision of timing and style) only becomes more important with the abundance of content and every brand flooding the zone. the “hollywood vs. ai” narrative is a red herring. the world’s greatest makers and storytellers will gain superpowers and become more successful with AI.
(3) the democratization of 3D unleashed by new products will transform marketing (any product collateral will be rendered on the fly), R&D (why do expensive mockups when you can render and test?), and help everyone contribute to immersive experiences.
(4) automation and AI will transform the operations of creativity and marketing (generating variations, translating, optimizing assets based on what resonates with every brand’s customers etc).
(5) right now everyone is focused on GenAI mega models, but the most exciting commercial use cases will require custom trained models for specific brands (or entertainment franchises) that leverage feedback loops from people within the company - using base models trained on licensed content.
