@adityam2000 @ZS_Chaudhry @ctkub That's critically the point. Practicing medicine elsewhere isn't a 'different' job; it's the same. Yet it is remunerated in multiples of NHS salaries.
To date, 13,000 doctors write to party leaders to express “grave concern” over use of physician associates - @TheBMA
Whoever forms the next government must listen
BMA is fighting for all of us 👏🏼👏🏼 https://t.co/WBTJPPGz2d
True, you have been in the room
It’s where you told us you were more afraid of what the daily mail readership would think rather than actually trying to resolve our dispute
Stellar leadership
The GMC refuses to define scope of practice for Associates.
They haven't even consulted on this, despite a set obligation for them to do so.
Regulation without regulation?

Thanks to your generous donations, we've rapidly reached our initial target of £15,000. We can now get started on the legal case.
A stretch target of £100,000 will allow us to fight this in court.
Please keep donating. Time to #telltheGMC
We are commencing a legal case against the @gmcuk over their regulation of Physician Associates.
We need your help to fund it.
Writing letters didn't work. Time for action.

Hi @RCPhysicians & @RCRadiologists
Your colleges oversee the training required by oncologists to deliver cytotoxic treatments to cancer patients.
Please provide a statement of whether you support/condone a non-doctor with no formal training authorising treatment.
@DrEilidhMaria My rent + bills were £900 pounds a month and I owed the bank of Ireland a princely £300 a month for loans I had to take out during medical school (despite 2 part time jobs). £50 went to TfL a week, so I had a luxurious £200 disposable income per month. Wouldn’t recommend.
@DrEilidhMaria In my FY2 GP and Academic Oncology rotations in 2017, I took home £1604 after tax while living in London. My credit cards were working hard that year. I was on speed dial for the clinical director for oncology at the hospital I was in because I was a guaranteed locum sponge.
@drcolinm of the @gmcuk has written this in a recent blog about future education &, as a card-carrying educationalist, I disagree vehemently
The last 50 yrs of educational research tells us a very clear message
The single most important determinant of expertise is knowledge
