This is a fascinating YT doc from ITN about the North in 1971.

- the hacks’ accents were so plummy
- one of them is called Geoffrey Archer; I thought it was the Jeffrey lad, but no.
- I remember the Paras driving around in jeeps with no armoured shell in the mid 70s
- the access the reporters got back in the day was incredible.
Anyway, well worth a watch.

Exclusive photos obtained by CBS News show extensive damage at multiple U.S. military positions in the Middle East following Iranian missile and drone attacks.

The images, provided by anonymous active-duty service members, show destroyed buildings, vehicles and equipment at bases in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

At Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, a Boeing E-3 Sentry aircraft was struck, with its tail section severed.

At Camp Buehring and Camp Arifjan in Kuwait, photos show damaged barracks, trailers and vehicles. A deployed service member told CBS News:

This is major damage to our bases that hasn't been communicated to the American public. We're standing there with our eyes closed getting punched in the face.

Another service member criticized U.S. defenses, saying:

We're not defending these bases. We're just watching them get destroyed.
