To friends at the US DoW website: I get that the DJI Matrice M350s are extremely useful, but can we please use something American instead of this as the first highlight reel video on the US Drone Dominance website?
We backed @flybyrobotics via a cold inbound email. They built drone delivery for Yale campus students.
Since then COVID crushed their plans and they pivoted. They’re now selling US-made drones to Palantir, US Marine Corps, and others.
And now this…
Sam Altman has declared a “Code Red” in an internal memo
– The plan is to allocate more resources to improving ChatGPT, with teams concentrating on features that allow more personalized interaction with ChatGPT.
– Other core priorities include:
1. advancing the image-generation model Imagegen,
2. improving model behavior,
3. strengthening leaderboard competitiveness with systems like LM Arena,
4. enhancing ChatGPT’s speed and stability,
5. reducing unnecessary refusals to harmless questions.
– He also mentioned plans to release a new reasoning model next week, ahead of Google’s Gemini 3.
– Several projects—such as advertising, AI agents (automation for shopping and healthcare tasks), and Pulse (personalized report generation)—are expected to be delayed.
– Three years ago, Google had declared its own Code Red after judging that ChatGPT posed a threat to Google Search. This time, the situation has reversed.
