@hooji2@dieworkwear They come out less wrinkled and easier to fold if you hang dry them. And they don’t shrink as much. It really saves time in the long run.
Unpopular opinion: Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords, as a basis for a system of government, sounds like a totally reasonable thing to try.
@polutlas Valid point. With noir, detective, and in general movies where the narrator's attitude helps set the scene, it's a little different.
Although I usually end up thinking the same information could have been communicated more elegantly anyway.
If your show or movie uses voiceover in the first five minutes, then it's garbage.
That is exactly when you shouldn't need voiceover at all. Earn the audience's attention with action, dialog, cinematography. Heck, an overture and long opening credits.
@DouthatNYT I liked your "religious comeback" article, but was confused and disappointed by these exclamation points. Greek mythology is popular, and those characters are not obscure. Plato's dialog's are not exactly unknown either. What's the issue?
Seeems someone logged into FB as me, got into trouble, received the warning message from FB, and appealed FB's decision to ban them, all before I knew what was happening.
So now I'm receiving these "we'll let you know whether you can ever get back into your account" messages.
