Following on from what I feel is the correct decision by my school, I will also not be posting anymore on this platform. I will still be active on LinkedIn.
Finally, our work developing a model to allow simultaneous co-culture of anaerobic microbes with oxygen-requiring human cells has been published.

Love this woman - interviewed by @novaramedia in Barnsley today ❤
Thank you to all for recommending my book How To Argue With A Racist these last few days. As I say in it, it’s a shame that it’s needed, and this summer more than ever. £5

@BioMickWatson I guess that when labour were talking so much about growth I hoped that we wouldn't end up seeing stories like this: https://t.co/ZIdrwRhpDE. Yes the Tories did some irresponsible spending and that needs fixing, but we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water.
Getting quite worried that the new government policies are leaning further and further towards austerity. This did not work last time, and it certainly won't deliver growth.

@_Faecal_Matters I think it might work in non-human species in very controlled environments. For example, if you have a biosecure chicken unit where you know the birds are eating the same thing, they're genetically similar and they're getting exposed to the same environment.

I'd like people's opinion. If you are reviewing a paper and it is fatally flawed, do you still go on to review it in detail? I tend to, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I may be wasting my time.
Excellent Research Fellow job opportunity at QUB, for someone keen to use a variety of different microbiota skillsets (culturing, bioinformatics etc.) and work on a variety of livestock projects. Also has the opportunity to work with industry partners. https://t.co/7IW7gSVD8k
