Econet Got it right ✅️ Accessibility ♿️
The last time I entered an econet shop in #Byo all their counters were the "usual teller desk height" 😑 high above my head, disabling me & enforcing me & those who use wheelchair to always depend on someone when in need to use their services. This took away my privacy as a customer having to rely on other's when doing my transactions by passing my documents to someone to handover to a customer care service person, at times 🙃 one has to ask a security guard to help filling forms due to high counters.
●This is what happens when there is #PoorInfrastructure when you have a #Disability
● You have No privacy
● Dependency Syndrome-always depending on other's
● People view you as a charity case
● You can't control your own schedule
● You develop a low self esteem
● You're vulnerable to all kinds of #Abuse
#MyHappyStory
I was very impressed with their "new look" at #EconetBy they have #DisabilityAccessible counter desks that are easily accessible to someone of my height or someone who uses a wheelchair ♿️ Customers with disabilities can do their translations without depending on someone.
Thank you @econet_support for making your business #DisabilityAccessible
There is also a #DisabilityParking space right in front & the staffs are alert ⚠️ 📢
● Privacy Is a #Right ✔️

When I was appointed CEO of Econet I was just a ‘young techie with no track record of leadership at that level at all’. God qualifies the called. I share about this and many other lessons in my new book A Dusty Road to Success
