Lowkey there is an argument to be made that tvl still works thematically when you put it through the lens that Lestat still undermines Louis’ abuse and racial trauma in their first relationship

If you ignore the writing, the dialogue, the blatant racism and the character assassinations lol. But if you see it as, of course Lestat can’t view the og relationship as his failure because it was never about what Louis wanted. it’s about what Lestat could take from him.
