@realEstateTrent We don’t. It’s after 9 when we sit down and then we catch up on crucial conversations until one of us throws in the towel. Then it’s sleep and a 4 am alarm.
I’m very much a casual sports fan nowadays but man, I don’t know how Wisconsin doesn’t clean house and bring in a new coach next year. The program is in a bad state and is still trending downward.
more venting from a guy who takes every potshot he can at UW.
#Badgers plan on competing for playoff spots, they need a heated field. Yes it stinks to tear up a 2 year old turf. But there's not another option as the landscape of CFB has changed. Its a sunk cost - and its in support of the program (ftb) that brings in more $ than every other program combined.
Success habits like…
—Journaling
—Rising early
—Not drinking
—Daily exercise
—Positive mindset
—Setting intention
—Showing up early
—Spending time outside
…have become a cliché here. Cold plunges are a meme.
📢But hear this:
These small, seemingly insignificant (or even silly) habits have a huge impact on the trajectory of your life.
They compound & get the flywheel spinning, making success inevitable.
As @SahilBloom says:
"There’s no such thing as a loser who wakes up at 5am and works out."
If you're not stacking healthy habits and constantly adding more (I call it "tightening the screws") then you're not living up to your potential.
🪛Today is a good day to tighten the screws just a bit more.
“What humans require in our ascent is purpose and realism. Purpose, you could say, is like passion with boundaries. Realism is detachment and perspective.”
- Ego Is The Enemy, page 49, by Ryan Holiday
“What would you do if you weren’t afraid?”
- From “Who Moved My Cheese” by Spencer Johnson
A simple question, yet, can be so powerful given the pace of change in the world today. It’s a quote from
this little book I’ll take with me into future situations.
