Had a delicious #Iftar with @HamzyCODE and @Connected_dev@BRIDGECONNECTNG#GMAAK champions in Kano to promote peace building 🕊️ and tolerance amongst our Muslim and Christian communities, which is an ideal Ramadan embodies.
Today I'm excited to have dined amidst Young Changemakers led by a force, @HamzyCODE. You are a movement whose impact transcends religious, ethnic or cultural affiliation. On behalf of the #GMAAK Champions, I say Thank You to the "Concierge Of Development" #CODE.
Advocating for legal frameworks that protect women and children is pertinent, however, we need to encourage reporting of incidents of #SGBV. Doing so will help to break the pervasive culture of silence in Kano State.

Why is it that many can’t stand it when someone is doing well? They will try to plant seeds of doubt in people’s minds. They may even spread falsehoods just to hijack the success story. Let them plot & plan. The Almighty’s fully aware & in control. Trust Him to pave the journey.

Earlier today, the Canadian High Commissioner @NicolasJSimard along with the trained Gender Advocates under the onging GMAA-K Project implemented by @Connected_dev in partnership with @CanHCNigeria took a stand to end GBV in Kano State during the just concluded consortium.
The Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC)/(Waraka Centre) in Kano State needs immediate attention. The Centre continue to suffer inadequacy, from lack of doctors to lack of professionalism in collecting evidence of rape cases and other related Gender-Based Violence.
