California progressives are pushing for a tax on billionaires; so are senators like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.
But as @MightyHeaton explains, such programs don't work. Just ask France.
Wealth taxes are the classic case of immoral policies being utterly impractical.
@MightyHeaton explains why wealth taxes not only fail to do any good, but actively cause massive harm.
(Come for the economics explanation, stay for the France jokes.)
The brilliant & at even at times bitterly funny interview of @naomibrockwell by @MightyHeaton on the gov't's shredding of the 4th Amendment ("Warrant? What Warrant?!") makes me proud to report that Naomi was co-founder of my Soho Forum & is also a close relative of mine.

@fubarfreak5@TRHLofficial I am divided on the pros and cons of regime change in Iran; when in doubt, I default on Not War. Either way, this was a preemptive strike without congressional approval, which is therefore unconstitutional

@MightyHeaton takes stock of the United States on its 250th birthday.
@StoogeRunner@MightyHeaton I was just going through and… huh, what happens when the Ayatollah falls! He didn’t get everything right of course (didn’t expect most everyone at the top to experience sudden kinetic discombobulatiin spontaneously!) but it was very informative. https://t.co/MjagXbDMJA
@knightofdice@GatorJimmies@LupinBandit@Timcast Sorry, guy-with-17 followers, but I don’t accept criticism from people too cowardly to use their real names on the Internet. Either learn basic economics, or grow a pair.
