Rest in Peace, President & Great Humanitarian Jimmy #Carter.
Will never forget your & First Lady Rosalynn Carter’s gracious visit to my grade school in 1983 — the #AGBU Alex & Marie Manoogian School in #Southfield, Mich. The visit was facilitated by the late US Amb. Set Momjian.
The Nationals select Chris Hacopian-2B
Age: 21 B/T: R/R H/W: 6’1/210
Hit: 65 Power: 55 Run: 40 Arm: 45 Field: 45 Floor: 60 Ceiling: 65 Overall: 55
One of the best offensive profiles in the draft this year, Chris Hacopian is a near perfect package. From the right side of the plate, Hacopian constantly hits the ball with great exit velocities, having great power to the pull side. He has an extremely professional approach, walking more than he strikes out. Moving from the BIG 10 to the SEC, he did see some regression, however it’s not something to really worry about as it’s a big transition, and I believe with the time he will spend in the minor leagues, his bat will be completely fine. His offensive side of his game is the star of the show, as he is a poor runner with a below average glove at second base alongside with a below average arm. Although there's room to improve on the defensive side of the game, a team is picking Chris Hacopian for his bat, which is almost as good as it gets.

@dikranagert__ My Guruntsi Armenian family, who had moved to Istanbul in 1909. The Good Lord miraculously saved my great uncle and student of the legendary Komitas Vartabed, Mihran Toumajan (seated), during both the Hamidian Massacres and the Armenian Genocide.
@dikranagert__ My amazing great uncle, #ArmenianGenocide survivor, student of the Great Komitas Vartabed, and a dedicated ethnomusicologist, who saved and rejuvenated thousands of Armenian folk songs - including wedding songs and lullabies - from oblivion. #KomitasPupils#ArmenianFolkMusic

In my latest Op-Ed for the @WashTimes, I explore why President Trump’s upcoming April 24 statement on the #ArmenianGenocide is more than a historical formality. It is a defining test of American moral authority amidst the current conflict with Iran. It’s time to choose truth over euphemisms. https://t.co/me3nFylPoB #HumanRights #NeverAgain #Trump
Today, the California State Assembly passed HR-97, recognizing April 24, 2026, as the Day of Commemoration of the 111th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
I joined as a coauthor of this important resolution honoring the more than 1.5 million Armenians who lost their lives between 1915 and 1923.
Together, we stand with the Armenian community as we remember the lives that were lost.
On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember Armenian hero Ara Jeretzian.
Born in Istanbul in 1918, he moved to Hungary as a child. In his youth, he joined the fascist Arrow Cross party led by Ferenc Szálasi, but later turned against the Nazis’ persecution of the Jews.
In 1944, he was appointed head of the civil defense command in Budapest’s 7th district. In this role, he used his position to assist Jews as much as possible.
He established a clinic under the auspices of the Swedish Embassy, which functioned as a small hospital. About 40 Jewish doctors were employed there, treating dozens of patients while remaining on-site with their families.
Through his connections, he succeeded in obtaining documents, medical equipment, and food, thereby helping to save approximately 400 Jews.
In 1981, he was recognized by Yad Vashem as Righteous Among the Nations.

When church bells were often restricted under Ottoman rule, this older tradition endured, and still echoes to this day.
Noel Mikaelian reclaims the WBC cruiserweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Badou Jack in the rematch: 115-111, 116-110 and 116-111. A fight with @ringmagazine champion Jai Opetai could be next.
With Armenian schools kicking off the new year, we’re remembering Alex and Marie Manoogian, the couple whose generosity built schools and preserved Armenian culture for generations. The Manoogians were a remarkable Armenian-American couple whose lives embodied entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and devotion to their community.
With only $50 to his name when he first arrived in the U.S., Alex Manoogian built his way up to founding Masco Corporation, a leading home improvement and industrial company that grew into a Fortune 500 company. Alongside him, Marie Manoogian, a talented pianist, played a vital role in their philanthropic endeavors, supporting education, culture, and humanitarian projects for Armenians worldwide.
Together, they generously funded Armenian schools like AGBU, churches, and cultural institutions, ensuring that the legacy, faith, and traditions of their community would thrive for generations. Their partnership reflected not just business achievements but also a deep commitment to uplifting people, leaving a lasting impact on both the American industry and the Armenian diaspora.

SPEECHLESS. #Armenia’s Ambassador to #Israel was recently interviewed on an Israeli station. Some of his statements warrant serious concern 👇🏽
🚩 On a direct question regarding the “controversy” relating to the lands in the #ArmenianQuarter of #Jerusalem, the Ambassador said nothing; he avoided the substance of the question completely [See 28:25]
🚩 On a question re Israeli arms deals to #Azerbaijan and Israeli weapons being used by Azerbaijan in its 2020 conquest of #Artsakh and the loss of 5000 young Armenian men, he stated: “that was an unfortunate and sad page in our bilateral relations with Israel, but we were willing to turn the page—and that page is basically turned.” [See 10:45]
🚩 On Israel’s unwillingness to recognize the Armenian Genocide: “the recognition of the Armenian Genocide is not a precondition for us for good relations. We never ask for any country to recognize the Armenian Genocide because we have excellent relations with many countries who do not recognize the Armenian Genocide.” [See 14:31]
🚩And further: “We do not want the Armenian Genocide to be recognize by any country if it’s being put in the context of its relations with Turkey.” [See 16:41].
