Savanna Kulla was shot by her ex-partner yesterday, leaving a 17-month-old without a mom.

This was altogether preventable.

The ex-partner was out on bail — despite facing serious firearm-related charges for allegedly discharging a gun at a home in 2023. His trial wasn’t even scheduled until 2026.

Savanna’s death is the direct result of a broken Liberal bail system that releases dangerous offenders back into our communities.

Conservatives brought forward legislation to fix this and the Liberals voted it down.

Conservatives introduced a bill to address intimate partner violence — and still, the Liberals won't commit to supporting it.

Now, a 17-month-old baby girl will grow up without her mom because this government refuses to take violent crime seriously.

It’s time to put victims first and end the catch-and-release justice system that keeps costing Canadians their lives.
