Over the weekend, $FLR hit a milestone, but the community didn't just celebrate.
They reflected, welcomed newcomers, & we keep on building.
Our continued success will come from solid fundamentals. So we're laser-focused on building the blockchain for data & making every $FLR holder proud.
The best is yet to come ☀️
What if I told you that the external data in the blockchain is:
🔴 Centralized
🔴 Slow
🔴 Expensive, and
🔴 Not censorship-resistant
What if we had a blockchain specifically designed for data that can connect everything?
Let's dive into @FlareNetworks 🧵
During #FlareStake phase 2, staking rewards payout is partly manual, which is done by running a rewards script every 14 days. Hence accrued rewards are only updated every 14 days. In this 1 minute vid I show a work around to check it for every epoch

Some commentary on FlareDrop #1 metrics:
Effective eligible wFLR for this drop: ~ 3.324B
(Approx. 800M inflation authorised, of which ~ 70% goes to Flare-related entities who delegate their allocations; their FTSO rewards are eligible for FlareDrops)
Avg of the total wFLR for 3 snapshots: ~ 7.166B
OptOut total balance ~ 3.842B
Note: Backers allocations remain locked and are not wrapped until they're released. Foundation does not wrap.
I run a test account with 10k FLR start, delegated to providers and earn ~ 0.15RR/epoch from FTSO which yielded an average wFLR balance of 10,072 over the 3 snapshots. It earned 2048 FLR from FlareDrop #1 = 20.3%.
Trading price of $FLR (Bitrue) daily averaging the Open, Close, High, L prices since T-23 (beginning of claim) to T (claim date) has decreased ~ 33%. This is partially offset by the 20.3% return via FlareDrop #1. However IMO the market responded positively to the drop - $FLR has been increasing since the claim date.
Of the original TDE airdrop community and including new FLR entrants, I approximate the true community participation rate to be ~ 60%. Of course, Coinbase and Celcius distributions, and other TDE airdrop recipients who are not participating, make up the remaining 40%.
Currently tracking an extensive list of mostly identified exchange accounts holdings. Due to FlareDrop#1, we should see the sum increase of FLR on exchanges + WFLR contract amount to 676M. If not, then the difference would be attributed to accounts that have failed to claim FlareDrop, and will be burned after 67 days.
Kraken received the largest inflows of ~50M FLR since the 1st drop. Other exchanges had relatively smaller inflows and outflows of < 3M FLR. Net exchange inflows ~ +45M. Net WFLR increase is currently just shy of + 500M, from claim date. This reveals a picture to us what participants are doing with their tokens.
Looking ahead:
OptOut balance from FlareDrop#1 (above) carries over to second month, but need to add additional WFLR allocated to Flare-related entities from their subsequent distributions. This is equal to 734.7M for the next 35 months.
Will be tracking multiple blocks for WFLR balances each day across the 23 snapshot period for the next drop.
