Re: Tinubu files, Nigerians need to understand the US doesn't work like Nigeria. With all our flaws, we do have transparency and the rule of law. Not to say it is perfect, but it's strong.
So no, nobody paid the FBI or CIA or the judge or Trump to block the release of the files. The legal reason they are stating is valid (not saying it's accurate, but it is plausible): Release of the files would endanger lives -- likely either informant(s) or undercover agents. That's the question on the table before the judge now.
And since that is the question, what is the answer? Whose life or lives are they afraid will be threatened if this information comes out? Seeing that we're 33 years later, there's zero chance it's an undercover operative. So it's a snitch. A rat.
And who is the one fighting the release? Tinubu himself. So it stands to reason that the way he got out of the heroin trafficking charges back in 1993 was not just forfeiting the $460k, but also ratting out others in the network.
This was a big operation, reaching into the South East Asian underworld -- where people in power then are still in power now.
Not long after Tinubu left the US, the US attacked those networks. Was it based on information Tinubu provided? If so, then yes, releasing the files may well put his life in danger.
Did he turn over names of prominent Nigerians too? People who may back him now politically, unwittingly? That could prove fatal for him, too.
This is my working theory: BAT is a RAT.

Nigerians are slumping and dying everyday, they can no longer afford healthy meal.
Everywhere is corrupt to the point that no one is checking what we consume on daily bases, fake foods, fake drinks, fake drugs, etc are everywhere right now. Even fake FG agencies!
How did we get here?
Ambode was trying to sanitize Lagos state and rid it of thuggery.
The thugs association, in conjunction with their chairman, threatened that he would not secure a second term, and they did.
A state full of intellectual minds, thugs are calling the shots.
Shame!
I asked the Iyaloja of Oregun market what they use the 2,000 PER DAY levy they collect from EVERY TRADER in Oregun to do;
She said I should go and ask Kabiyesi.
I said she should be able to provide me answers since she is the emissary.
Guess her response?
She will send boys to beat me up 😂😂😂.
Bunch of looting criminals
How can you collect AT LEAST 2,000 naira Everyday from over 200 shops and there is no significant improvement.
Every shop is consistently deteriorating, gutters are stinking because there is no drainage but you will send boys to beat me up after you delayed us for thirty minutes to collect your useless levy?
This is a low ranking to mid ranking Army house in US.
This is what Ola of Lagos will be shouting “is pleeenty” for in Lagos and the price will be in billions.

President Tinubu says he won elections by God will in 2023
INEC hasn’t told us what caused the glitch
If he believed in God so much why was federal might used in Osun
Why did the IREV stop uploading for many hours
Is it God’s will or INEC’s will
“This young man came to my office on 18/08/2026, and according to him, he went to a hospital where his kidney was removed. This is indeed one of the scariest cases I have ever involved myself in. After going to scanning, we confirmed that his kidney was removed”
— VeryDarkMan speaks on the case of a young man who allegedly had his kidney removed by a doctor.
“This is how the Benin–Asaba Expressway looks yesterday, Thursday, August 20, 2026. Look at how cars and trailers are stuck because of the bad road. Mr Peter Obi advised the APC to start fixing existing roads, but instead, they are att@cking him. Instead of Dave Umahi focusing on his work, he is busy looking for Peter Obi to debate him.”
— Passenger calls out Minister of Works, Dave Umahi.
President Tinubu has now signed the Electoral Act 2026, and it removes certificate forgery as a ground for challenging election results at tribunals. Politicians can no longer be disqualified over fake credentials.

Beyond Football: The Match for a Better Nigeria
This weekend, Europe comes alive again with football. Millions of Nigerian youths will be glued to television screens, streaming matches, debating tactics, celebrating victories, and admiring the organisation, discipline, and excellence that make European football the envy of the world. But here is a question worth asking: Why can’t Nigerian football be just as good?
The answer is not a lack of talent. Nigeria has produced world-class footballers who have excelled in Europe because they found systems that reward merit, invest in infrastructure, ensure security, and are governed with competence and accountability. Great football does not exist in isolation. It grows where there is good governance.
The stadiums, academies, transport systems, healthcare, security, electricity, and institutions that support football are products of leaders who make the right choices and citizens who insist on accountability. Nigeria has the talent. What we have lacked is leadership that creates an enabling environment for that talent to flourish.
As I have decided, in the next 150 days, to engage Nigerian youths wherever they gather—in town halls, campuses, online spaces, and even football communities—my message is simple: The future you admire in Europe can be built in Nigeria. But it starts with your vote.
Imagine a Nigeria where our local league is competitive, our stadiums are full every weekend, our clubs attract sponsorship, our coaches receive proper training, and young footballers no longer see emigration as their only path to success.
Nigeria will not emerge through wishful thinking. It will emerge when young Nigerians decide that elections matter as much as football matches. Every goal scored in Europe is a reminder that excellence is possible. Every well-managed league is proof that systems work when honest leadership is in place.
The 2027 presidential election is therefore more than a political contest. It is an opportunity for Nigerian youths to choose the kind of country they want—a nation that exports talent because it is respected, not because its citizens are escaping failed governance.
Cheer for Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG, Inter, AC Milan, or any club you support. Enjoy every match. But when the final whistle blows, remember that the greatest match awaiting Nigerian youths is not in Europe. It is in Nigeria.
It is the match for good governance. It is the match for jobs, security, education, sports development, and national renewal. And unlike football, where only twenty-two players are on the pitch, every Nigerian youth has a place in this match.
Stand up. Mobilise. Vote. Defend your vote.
If Nigerian youths can passionately follow European football every weekend, they can also passionately build a Nigeria where our own football—and our nation—becomes a source of pride.
The journey towards better Nigerian football begins with the path to good governance. And the path to good governance begins with the decision of Nigerian youths to stand up and be counted in 2027.
Every weekend, starting today, I will come to you with a reminder of January 16, 2027, and our future. We can create world-class standards right here at home.
It’s in your hands, and that new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
“Enjoy your recent win. Dance, celebrate, take the victory lap. But do not, under any circumstance start boasting to Tinubu that Osun people will vote for him in the presidential election. You’re not the appointed spokesman for the entire state in that regard. The only reason you won is because you actually did the work and served the people. That does not mean Osun voters have suddenly become foolish enough to support a man who has spent his first term making life harder with almost nothing meaningful to show for it. So stop dragging Osun people into any claim of support for Tinubu’s reelection. Adeleke, don’t overstretch the goodwill of a people still feeling the pain under Tinubu just to make promises on our behalf.”
-An elderly man from Osun.
This is so embarrassing for our country.
Sadly, many see nothing wrong with this.
They keep talking about “my candidate “, the said candidate is a man whose age, educational qualifications, family history, career record and criminal background are a spectacle of shame.
She did not steal. She did not defraud anyone. Yet, EFCC detained her for over 30 days!
Maryam Shehu, a Kano-based blogger, was arrested from Kano and detained by EFCC in Abuja after raising corruption alarm against EFCC officials.
The troubling facts:
1. She is not accused of stealing, fraud, money laundering or any economic or financial crime.
2. The EFCC has become the complainant, investigator and judge in a matter involving its own officials.
3. She has reportedly been denied bail and detained for over 30 days.
4. She was allegedly lured by an EFCC official with a business offer before being arrested in Kano and transported to Abuja.
If Maryam committed any offence, charge her before a competent court. Otherwise, release her immediately and allow an independent investigation into the allegations against the EFCC officials.
While we are working on her court papers, I call on all human-rights organisations to intervene urgently.
Investigation is not punishment. Release Maryam Shehu or charge her to court.

I was on ground, I saw the mother of all bullying, intimidation and vote-buying.
APC did not play fair in any way, shape or form. They were hell bent on taking Osun.
Tinubu only made the call because NSA told him it’s a lost cause.
He is not a statesman and will never be.
MASSIVE END POLICE BRUTALITY PROTEST TOOK PLACE IN ONITSHA!!!
ARỤ NA-EME.
Today Ogbo-Ogwu at Head Bridge, Onitsha, was blocked by several people who were protesting against police brutality.
According to reports from some of the people who were present at the scene, they said a policeman shot a young apprentice who was carrying a carton of medicine to the shop and was stopped by the police.
The police asked him to open the carton of medicine so they could search it, but he refused, claiming that his boss would not be happy with him if he got to the shop with the carton of medicine already opened.
The police shot the young man in the leg after several attempts to open the carton of medicine and arguments.
The man was rushed to the hospital by people who were around when the shooting occurred. The condition of the young man has not been verified yet.
Traders, Keke riders, drivers and apprentices in Ogbo-Ogwu staged a protest as a result of this, and it erupted into chaos, with the policemen shooting at the protesters and throwing teargas at them.
The man you’re campaigning to vote for in 2027 is being dragged through the courts in the United States because he is fighting to prevent the release of records allegedly linked to his drug history.
Do you know how stupid you are 🫵🏿
