If the question were asked, "Who are the most degraded and wretched people in the world?", the answer would be "Eritreans." The reason is that they have fallen to a level where they no longer understand what freedom means or what slavery means.
​Analyze this, whether you are a supporter or an opponent [of the government]: you are being slaughtered and insulted, and when you die, even your corpse is not allowed to enter your native country. If you are a supporter, your corpse is only allowed to enter if you have been paying the 2% tax. If the deceased is found to be an opponent, they return the corpse back to the country where they died. Isn't this a form of slavery even in death? Since you chose this, may that death only visit you and your families.
​Today's Eritrea is a place where Eritreans are not respected in life, nor are they honored in death. It continues to be a country of darkness.
