Prices as high as £60/MW/h were seen in the latest GB frequency response auction in the 3pm – 7pm window for November delivery, due to National Grid’s high procurement target and the beginning of winter peak benefits that increase opportunity costs of service provision
EDF now states that the IRR for Hinkley Point C is to be between 7.6% and 7.8%.
Last week Aurora published a new report that co-located solar-plus-storage projects in the UK will deliver IRRs of ~7.6%. In 2020. Five years before Hinkley could even turn on.
