This (WIP) site was created to increase awareness of how to support local biz online such as a gift card or using their online store. Hopefully with this raised awareness, we can try to mitigate the neg. impact on our local economy.

@joemasilotti@googledevs I recently had to do this at work for our apps, so I may be able to help debug. What info did you submit? Did you submit DUNS and cert of incorp? Feel free to DM or email ([email protected]).
@marcroberge Guessing you will play it anyways but if you played Hey Girl, that would be awesome. I'll be at the early show in Chicago tonight and it happens to be my birthday so seeing you play tonight is a wonderful present. Hey Girl was also the top song we had played at our wedding.
@TheAcademyIs@siskybusiness@MetroChicago I also remember a Metro Christmas show around 2004/2005 where you opened up for FOB right before going on tour with them. I remember they played an early version of Sugar.
@drewwilson I’ve been trying to validate my domains from DNSimple using the TXT record. DNSimple adds double quotes so it’s possible your code/checker can’t validate it due to the extra quotes in the string.

@drewwilson I think Dnsimple validation is broken in Naymee. It won’t ever validate for me. According to this article (https://t.co/KeD6RFgr90) they add double quotes to TXT content. I have a hunch that’s the issue?
The Sick Day Test
Just like almost every organization this time of the year, we have a lot going on. While I try to ensure our engineering organization strives to be a calm organization as much as possible, sometimes there is a lot going on. We're finishing up 2024 OKR planning, end of year reviews and dealing with some changes within our company.
Recently an Engineering Manager in my org had to take a sick day. With so much going on, it's probably not the most convenient time to get sick. Well, that is life and people get sick. One thing I noticed when that manager took a sick day was how the teams they manage are able to not miss a beat (to some extent of course). Their team's work didn't just stop on that day. Processes were already put into place where their teams can continue to move along even when they are not there. The team knew when to bring me in but also knew to consider "Could it wait until the manager gets back?"
Part of being an effective leader is ensuring you can take breaks when needed and the ship can continue to sail while you are away. I'm very proud to say we (Engineering Leadership at our company) have put a lot of intention into ensuring we are not a blocker and can shepherd our teams into doing great work.
I highly recommend all leaders try out the sick day test. Does the ship keep sailing or do you teams have a bunch of things for you when you return?

I've been diving deep into https://t.co/4CjQ6WkcGV lately with a Rails side project. The speed I've been able to move as a one person developer on this project has been inspiring. I haven't felt this excited since I discovered Rails over a decade ago.
